Who we are

A psychology practice that works like a consulting firm.

We began in 2009 as Canada Career Counselling, a Canadian career and workplace practice. Over more than fifteen years that work grew increasingly organizational, and Birchwood is the firm we built to serve it directly — a team of registered psychologists, coaches, and consultants working with leaders, teams, and whole organizations. Canada Career Counselling continues its individual career and counselling work; Birchwood carries the organizational side, led by the same practitioners.

What sets our work apart is where our people come from. Where most firms staff engagements with former management consultants, ours are led by practitioners with graduate-level training in psychology. Every recommendation is grounded in evidence and human behaviour, not assumption.

We work at the intersection of business, psychology, and mental health, the same place the hardest people decisions actually live.
